description: Lippisch's work in aerodynamic theory is found here. All three of this series' boxes contain mathematical equations and various test results from wind tunnel research. Six patents obtained by Dr. Lippisch are found in Box 24, Folders 18-19 and Box 25, Folders 9-12.

Series 6 Smoke Tunnels 1935-1973, n.d.
extent: 4 boxes
description: This series contains much of Lippisch's work in the field of smoke tunnels and flow visualization. Box 26 contains publications on the subject, while Box 27 contains photographs. A television series, "The Secret of Flight," was created to show how flight is accomplished -- Box 28 includes material from the show, including a copy of the Peabody Award, which the television series won in 1956 (Box 28, Folder 24). The series also includes design drawings.
