Arthur Oldehoeft was born in 1935 in Seward, Nebraska. He received a B.A. (1957) in Mathematics, and an M.S. (1959) in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University; and a Ph.D. (1970) in Computer Science from Purdue University. At Iowa State University, he was an Assistant Professor (1970-1975), an Associate Professor (1975-1982), and a Professor (1982-1999). He was the chairman of the computer science department (1987-1998). He became an Emertius Professor in 1999. Dr. Oldehoeft is married to Margie Vines. They had two children: Gretchen and Kimberly. |
This collection (1969-2010, n.d.) contains Dr. Oldehoft's biographical information, papers, and proposals for data flow computer research. His major interests include: operating systems, parallel processing, distributed processing, computer security. Data flow environments contain the subject of his papers. A highlight of the collection is his paper "Survey of Password Mechanisms: Weakness and Potential Improvements. Part 1 and Part 2". |
The collection is arranged in alphabetical order. |
