Biographical note
Walter Wayne Umland was born February 21, 1895, in Harris, Iowa. He received his B.S. (1920) in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State College (University) where he also was a member of the Public Speaking Council, the Beardshear Literary Society, and Engineering Council. Umland died on September 7, 1986, in Dane, Wisconsin. |
Collection description
This collection (1917-1920) consists of a scrapbook of college memorabilia compiled by Umland during his undergraduate coursework at Iowa State College (University) and includes programs, dance cards, photographs of campus, and news clippings. |
