Biographical note

Monroe C. Litteer received his B.S. (1874) in civil engineering from Iowa State College (University). He was a member of Iowa State's third graduating class. He died prior to 1910. His last known residence was Yukon, Oklahoma.

 

Collection description

This collection (ca. 1874) consists of one photograph album that belonged to Monroe C. Litteer, Iowa State graduate of 1874. The album contains portrait photographs (cartes-de-visites) of Litteer's classmates and teachers at Iowa State. Most of the images are of unknown individuals, but some have been tentatively identified and include: Margaret (McDonald) Stanton, Ida (Smith) Noyes, Katie (Tupper) Galpin, Eva (Paull) Van Slyke, Professor W. H. Wynn, General James L. Geddes, Mary (Palmer) Snell, Millikan Stalker, Wesley Green, and Herbert W. Patrick.
