Abstract

W. Lee Honeyman received his B.S. (1943) in animal science from Iowa State College (University). This collection contains many of the notebooks Honeyman used to record his class notes. Included in the collection are notebooks containing course notes for classes in agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, agronomy, animal husbandry, bacteriology, dairy industry, economics, government, history, mathematics, music appreciation, speech, veterinary anatomy, and zoology.

 

Biographical note

Warren Lee Honeyman was born on March 15, 1921. He grew up and lived most of his life in Emerson, Iowa. Honeyman graduated from Iowa State College (University) with a B.S. (1943) in animal science. During his time at Iowa State Honeyman was involved in many activities including the Ward System, Block and Bridle Club, Y.M.C.A., Iowa State Swordsmen, and the Iowa Agriculturist, a student agriculture publication. He married Shirley Snyder. W. Lee Honeyman passed away at the age of 71 on July 3, 1992.

 

Collection description

This collection (1940-1944, undated) consists of notebooks containing handwritten class notes written by W. Lee Honeyman. These course notes cover many of the agriculture classes Honeyman took as an animal science major including agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, agronomy, animal husbandry, bacteriology, and dairy industry. Additional notebooks include notes for courses in economics, government, history, mathematics, music appreciation, speech, veterinary anatomy, and zoology.
