Adelbert Estey Wallace was born on August 19, 1890, to John I. and Eva D. Wallace in Jackson, Minnesota. Wallace received his B.S. (1913) in Civil Engineering from Iowa State College (University). Wallace was employed first as County Surveyor then as City Engineer in Jackson, Minnesota. He served as City Engineer for 38 years, retiring on April 1, 1968. Wallace married Bessie G. Flower on February 17, 1915, in Marshalltown, Iowa. They had one child, Marian Louise Wallace. Adelbert Wallace died on November 3, 1979.

Assembled by Wallace while a student at Iowa State, the scrapbook contains one photograph of his classmates, four picture postcards with images of the Chemistry building, and other images of campus scenes that were cut out from print publications about Iowa State. It also contains programs regarding St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and other campus events.
