Clarence J. Zintheo served as the first professor in charge of agricultural engineering at Iowa State (1903-1905). He left the college in the summer of 1905 to take a position with the Division of Irrigation and Drainage of the United States Department of Agriculture. Zintheo left his government position to serve as general manager of the Electric Transportation Company of Seattle, Washington (1908). The University Archives has no record of his activities after this time. |
This collection (1903-1905) contains mostly of correspondence between Zintheo and the U.S.D.A., but there is also a short biographical article taken from the August 27, 1903 issue of Farm Implement News. Other information may be found in the Twentieth Biennial Report of the college, the catalogues, and the Jay B. Davidson File. |
This collection is arranged chronologically. |
