Historical note
The National Agricultural Advertising and Marketing Association was organized in 1965 and officially established in July, 1966. In 1973 the National Agricultural Advertising and Marketing Association's (NAAMA) name was changed to the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). Serving the food and fiber industries, the aims of NAMA include promoting and improving professional excellence in agri-marketing and increasing the public's knowledge of agriculture's role in the economy. NAMA is based in Overland Park, Kansas. The Midwest Chapter, based out of Chicago, is now (as of 2010) called the Chicago Chapter. |
Collection description
The collection (1972-1976) consists of four scrapbooks for the years 1972-1976 which were submitted by the Midwest Chapter for judging in the National Agri-Marketing Association's Chapter Recognition Awards competition. The scrapbooks contain information such as administrative records, attendance figures, awards, membership lists, newsletters and printed materials, photographs, programs, workshop information, and information regarding activities sponsored by the Midwest Chapter.
