Historical note
Ruby A. Holten grew up on a farm near Decorah, Iowa and went to Luther College. Her ancestors immigrated from Norway. From 1853-1900 her grandfather farmed the land and from 1900 her father and his family were on the farm. Between 1912 and 1935 her mother and father lived in Decorah and from 1936-1942 the farm was managed by Farmers National Company. |
