Historical note
The Special Collections Department is the repository of the files of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and has attempted to supplement these materials by collecting the records of the individual county farm bureaus. Materials from the Cherokee County Iowa Farm Bureau were received on September 3, 1976. These materials were then microfilmed, following the wishes of the Bureau, and the originals were returned later in 1976. |
Collection description
The collection (1918-1962) contains minutes of the Annual Cherokee County Farm Bureau meetings as well as financial statements of the Bureau and minutes of the Board of Directors of the Bureau. The collection also contains meeting minutes of the Cherokee County Farm Bureau, Cherokee County Farm Bureau Exchange, and the Cherokee County Farm Bureau Supply Company on microfilm. In addition, the Special Collections Department houses several collections related to the Iowa Farm Bureau including: Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Records, MS 105; Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Women's Committee Records, MS 189; and E. Howard Hill Papers, RS 21/7/44. |
