Collection description
This collection (1890-1934) contains a manuscript volume with crop statistics by county in Iowa. Recorded by Charles Reed of the Iowa Weather Crop Bureau, the volume includes data on average and total yields of staple crops, acreage of staple crops, and a table recording annual prices for crops. Crops recorded include corn, oats, spring wheat, winter wheat, barley, rye, flax seed, potatoes, tame hay, and wild hay. The volume also contains a news clipping listing yearly corn prices for the years 1881-1921. |
