Historical note

 
The Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society (NSAS) is based in Harrington, Nebraska. The current name replaced the organization's former title, the Nebraska Organic Agriculture Association (NOAA), in 1986.

NSAS is a non-profit, farmer-based membership organization that sponsors a Healthy Farms Conference, workshops, farm tours, and field days in addition to their annual meeting. NSAS is a member of the Midwest Sustainable Agriculture Working Group.

 

Collection description

 
This collection consists of newsletters and annual meeting brochures. The materials include issues 9-13 and 15-36 of the NOAA/NSAS newsletter and single page brochures for the organization's 1984-86 and 1988-91 annual meetings.
