Abstract

The purpose of the Des Moines Metro Opera Guild is to improve the cultural climate for opera within the state of Iowa. The Ames Chapter is one of many chapters throughout the state. This collection contains minutes of chapter meetings and associated materials, newsletters, Council minutes, by-laws, and other documents.

 

Historical note

The purpose of the Des Moines Metro Opera Guild is to improve the cultural climate for opera within the state of Iowa by stimulating interest in opera, by educating Iowans about opera, and by encouraging financial support for the activities of the Des Moines Metro Opera. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the development of the Des Moines Metro Opera. The Ames Chapter is one of many chapters throughout the state.
