Biographical note

Carol Froning was a freshman at La Porte City, Iowa, High School when she was chosen to represent her school at the Iowa Delegation to the Future Homemakers of America Sub-Regional Conference in Manhattan, Kansas, February 25-26, 1946.

She later married Robert Deppe and currently (2011) lives in Ames, Iowa.

 

Collection description

This collection (1945-1946, undated) contains handwritten notes from Deppe’s La Porte City High School classmates, Future Homemakers of America Sub-Regional Conference materials, Iowa State College Leadership Conference materials, and handwritten notes by Carol Froning. The handwritten notes include Future Homemakers of America conference speech notes, impressions from the conference, and sights seen while traveling.
