Historical note

Founded in Massachusetts, Citizens to End Animal Suffering & Exploitation (CEASE) is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to ending animal cruelty. According to its web site, CEASE "raises public awareness of these issues through media campaigns and public outreach." As of 2010, CEASE has focused its effort on the issue of fur.
