Biographical note

Charles Frederick Keithahn was born February 20, 1942, to Rollo and Lena Keithahn. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1960. Keithahn attended the University of Chicago where he received his B.A. (1963) in economics and statistics and his M.A. (1966) in economics. Starting in 1965, Keithahn taught economics at Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State University) and later at Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas. He went on to receive his Ph.D. (1973) in economics from Iowa State University. Keithahn was hired by the Federal Trade Commission where he worked as a senior research economist (1973-1978) in the evidence division. Charles Keithahn died in July of 1978.

 

Collection description

This collection (1929-1992, undated) includes biographical information, family correspondence, news clippings, photographs, and reports. The family correspondence consists of letters between Charles and the Keithahn family while Charles was away from home. There are also letters between Charles' parents and officials and professors from the schools Charles attended. This collection also contains biographical information about Charles Keithahn and several reports.
