Linda Mae Wild was born on January 7, 1951 to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wild. She was raised in rural Linn County outside of Marion, Iowa. Wild joined the local 4-H club, Marion's Best, in 1961 and remained a member for five years. During those years she served as club vice president, junior secretary, and historian. Wild completed projects in home improvement, food and nutrition, clothing, and home furnishings. The collection (1961-1966) contains Linda Wild's 4-H record book and two of her uniforms. The record book documents Wild's time as a member of the Marion's Best 4-H Club and includes project information, photographs, newspaper clippings, personal health reports, and annual summaries of club work. |
