The Iowa State Archery Association (ISAA) was incorporated in 1955 to:

1. "...foster expand, and perpetuate the practice of Target and Field archery, and the spirit of good fellowship among all archers. To interpret for the State of Iowa the rules of the National Archery Association, and the National Field Archery Association. To conduct tournaments, games, and other events in accordance with the rules of the National Archery Association, and the National Field Archery Association. To hold one Iowa State Target championship for men and women, and as many other classes as set forth in the by laws.

2. To encourage the use of the bow and arrow in the hunting of all legal game birds and animals, and cooperate with the National Archery and National Field Archery Association, in securing better conditions, and hunting privileges for the bow hunter and archer, and to cooperate with all conservation of game and other natural resources."

The collection contains the certificate of incorporation, the nine page articles of incorporation document as well as a collection of minutes of meetings.
